My Brother Said I Was Free All Day — And It Broke Me πŸ’” (The Truth About Invisible Motherhood)

 This morning, during breakfast, my

brother looked at me and said in the

most casual tone:

"Zoo, you are free all day at home.

Let's search for some products and

start an e-commerce business."

He meant no harm. His tone was

completely normal. But something

inside me broke.

Because in that one sentence, I felt

everything I had been carrying —

completely invisible.

---

I left my job to raise my children.

To the world, that means I am free.

But here is my reality:

I wake up before everyone else.

I feed a baby who needs me every

2 hours.

I chase a toddler who never stops.

I cook. I clean. I soothe. I comfort.

I answer a hundred "mama mama mama"

calls before 9am.

And I do ALL of this while trying

to build something of my own —

this blog, these pins, this small

dream I am quietly chasing during

nap times and late nights.

Free? I haven't had 10 minutes

to myself in months.

---

But here is what hurts the most.

It is not that my brother said it.

It is that the world agrees with him.

Motherhood is the only job where:

✅ You work 24 hours a day

✅ You get no salary

✅ You get no sick days

✅ You get no appreciation

✅ And somehow — you are still

considered "free"

---

To every mama reading this:

You are not free.

You are not doing nothing.

You are not worthless.

You are doing the hardest, most

important job in the world — and

the fact that nobody sees it does

not make it less real.

Motherhood is lonely because the

people around us cannot see our

struggle. And that invisibility

hurts more than the exhaustion.

---

But I see you mama. πŸ’™

I see the cold cups of tea.

I see the skipped meals.

I see the smile you put on even

when you are breaking inside.

I see the love you pour out every

single day — even when your own

cup is empty.

You are not free.

You are everything. πŸ’™

---

If this resonated with you, save

this post and share it with a mom

who needs to hear this today.

And if you are on this journey of

building something of your own

during nap times — I see you.

Keep going. πŸ’™

πŸ’• If you are building something

of your own during nap times

like I am — this is for you!
